Forced migration to Indeed account with limited opt-out
Starting April 2026, Glassdoor users will be required to connect their Glassdoor account to an Indeed account with no option to disconnect afterward, permanently merging data across two services.
Demographic data can inadvertently reveal your identity
Despite efforts to prevent it, the policy explicitly acknowledges that combining your demographic information (race, sexual orientation, disability, etc.) with job details and company name could narrow down or directly identify you on the platform.
Your chat and message content is recorded and retained
All conversations with chatbots, live audio/video events, and direct messages are recorded, transcribed, and retained—meaning even conversational content you thought was ephemeral becomes permanent records shared with service providers.
